The M1 Macbook Air is Good Enough for Most

Here is something I didn’t know I would be doing since we are mostly stuck at home. Use my M1 Macbook Air more than my main desktop.

Intro

I love my M1 MacBook Air. Its battery life is amazing, and its performance is incredible. It can handle anything I throw at it, from 4K video editing in Final Cut Pro to opening lots of Chrome tabs for my research and multitasking with other apps.

The list of native M1 apps already covers everything I use and more. As I mentioned in my Surface Pro X video, Apple moved quickly to ensure that most Mac users will have a decent experience with their MacBook, with native apps. And if not, then Rosetta 2 will take care of it.

Compared to my Hackintosh

I built a powerful Hackintosh that I used for over a year. It features an Intel Core i9 9900k, AMD 5700XT GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. I never experienced any performance issues on both Mac OS (for work and productivity) and Windows (for gaming).

However, the M1 MacBook Air has almost replaced it to some extent. Although I can’t play my favorite PC games like Battlefield 1 and 5 or Cyberpunk 2077 with high frame-rates, I can still have some fun on the couch with Apple Arcade and my Xbox controllers after long working hours, and feel refreshed for another round of hustling. By the way, in case you didn’t know, I’m a freelance graphic and web designer when I’m not making YouTube videos.

Improved workflow

The M1 Macbook Air has been an incredible addition to my workflow. I have found that it provides me with a lot of flexibility when it comes to working. It has made my work much easier and efficient due to its powerful processor and long battery life. The Macbook Air’s impressive battery life means I don’t need to worry about bringing my charger with me when I go to a coffee shop or even on a short trip. I can work for hours without worrying about my battery life.

Moreover, it allows me to work from anywhere, which is great for me as someone who likes to work in different environments. Whether I’m bored with my room or just want to change scenery, I can simply pack up my Macbook and head to the nearest coffee shop, park or even a library. This is especially helpful when I need to meet a deadline or when I simply need a change of scenery to get my creative juices flowing. Overall, the M1 Macbook Air has been a game changer for me and has greatly improved my productivity.

Easy to carry around

The portability of the Macbook has made it easier for me to work on-the-go and be productive even when I’m away from my desk. Additionally, the reliable performance of the M1 chip has helped me complete my work without any issues. All in all, the M1 Macbook Air has been a game changer for me and has allowed me to be more productive and flexible in my work.

The display on my Macbook Air is impressively sharp and color accurate, which makes it perfect for all of my design work and video grading needs. Initially, I was hesitant to purchase the Macbook Air because I usually prefer larger screens, such as the two 32-inch monitors that I already own. I thought the Macbook Pro 16-inch would be a better fit for me. However, I was presented with a choice between waiting for the M1 Pro Macbook Pro or settling for the M1 Macbook Air.

In the end, I decided to go with the latter option, and I am so glad that I did. Not only does the display perform beyond my expectations, but the overall performance of the Macbook Air is also exceptional. I have found that it is more than capable of handling all of my multitasking needs, even when I have dozens of tabs open or am running multiple applications at once. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my decision to purchase the Macbook Air and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and high-performing laptop.

It’s an easy recommend

If you’re in the market for a new laptop, you might be wondering whether the M1 Macbook Air is worth the investment. In my opinion, it definitely is. The performance you get for the price is unmatched by any other laptop on the market right now. Plus, with the M1 chip, you can expect your Macbook Air to remain relevant and competitive for years to come as Apple continues to refine the technology.

One of the best things about the Macbook Air is that it’s designed with the user in mind. Apple is constantly working to improve the user experience and fix any issues that arise, so you can trust that your Macbook Air will continue to work well even as new updates are released.

Whether you’re a student who needs to bring your laptop to class, or a professional who travels frequently for work, the Macbook Air is a great choice.

Verdict

Overall, I highly recommend the M1 Macbook Air to anyone who needs a good enough performance laptop that’s also portable and user-friendly. It’s a great investment that will serve you well for years to come.
